We had oysters on the half shell, smoked tuna dip and crab claws..ALL EXCELLENT. The service was excellent as well. Casual dining. Had a great time.
Best raw oysters!!! Food is delicious and the atmosphere is quaint! We've been coming here a long time and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
The beer selection is somewhat slim but but there is a full bar with experienced tenders. Service in general is great and the waitress Trish is awesome!
Overall perfect dive bar with great seafood and oysters! A must visit if you are in Okaloosa County.
The rest of the menu is good, too, with classics like fried blue crab claws, grouper grilled or fried and boiled shrimp. Most of the seafood is local. Some of the fried items can get a little heavy but hey, it’s Florida!
This is the best place for oysters in the area. We took some friends for lunch who live in South Florida. They each ate 2 dz! I ordered the char-broiled grouper; it was hot and a good portion. Order the fries or rice as the veggies were just OK. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Also a full bar for those interested.
A true gulf coast classic. Hightide has been in Fort Walton for years, generations even. It’s dive bar that serves delish gulf seafood and oysters on the half shell. The oysters are always fresh (shucked to order) and always served on a cafeteria tray. Perfect for slurping with the do-it-yourself cocktail sauce and tabasco.
What a great experience here. Food was so good and the theme was enjoyable. Had the old wharf feeling.
