Great credit union. People don't understand that banks can't fix everything and there is a difference between banks and credit unions. They are lenient when it comes to mistakes made through no fault of their own. Wonderful staff who go above and beyond.
I will be removing my business from this bank after 20 or 21 years of being a member. The story is very long so I will shorten it up. I called them yesterday and after the conversation ended the employee didn't hang up the phone so I could still hear what was being said in the room. This employee started discussing my situation and personal banking information with someone else while laughing and making jokes about it. I was totally embarrassed by the degrading commits made about me. I decided to call and speak with a manager named Susan today and she apologized and said she would address the problem. I feel like this is a typical blow off response just to get me to go away. I will be reporting this to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Not happy with Eglin FCU, I'm heading to USAA.
I will be removing my money from this account after having an account here for 12+ years. Tracy who is a supervisor on two different occasions lied to me directly telling me she would unblock countries I requested. I am not happy with Eglin withholding my money and will never use this bank ever again.
Excellent credit union! They have incredible rates on new and used cars as well as all other types of loans. It's a pleasure working with them.
Not going to go into the whole story here. EFCU made a substantial mistake with a beneficiary distribution; this mistake was very costly (not to EFCU, to the person that was supposed to receive the funds). EFCU was kind enough to apologize for their mistake but made absolutely no offer to make things right or go after the funds they gave away. I guess they figured their apology was enough.
