I used Mrs. Belinda to make my cake for my wedding on July 21st. It was everything I ever wanted & more! When I ordered the cake, I sent her a picture of the cake I wanted & it turned out even better than the picture. It was gorgeous & delicious. She even brought a box that I could use to store my top layer in for freezing. My experience with her was wonderful! I think some women get so caught up being bridezillas, that no matter what, nothing is right. But, that's just my opinion :)
Not recommended for wedding cakes. I ordered a wedding cake this past month. The price was outrageous for what I received. During consultation, I showed her a picture stating that I wanted a cake exactly like the picture except smaller (It was a four-five layer cake). She wrote up an estimate. I thought it was a little costly; however, it was my wedding cake. After signing the contract, I tried getting in touch with her a couple of times. I had to leave multiple messages before getting a returned call. The worst part is the cake on the wedding day. It was so simple and plain. It had no design on the sides like the picture I submitted had. It was leaning TERRIBLY. I even mentioned this to the daughter who delievered the cake. She did a little adjustment, but slipped out while I was tending to another vendor. She did not bother to get my approval. I called the cake lady explaining it was leaning terribly. She got very rude and stated that it was not leaning when she left. I also mentioned the cake design was not correct. She was very ugly stating that the designs were not in the contract. I had never ordered a cake before. So, if you order with her, make sure she knows the fine details. Do not just hand her a picture. Apparently that is too complicated for her. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Belinda was a pleasure to work with. Our cake was absolutely beautiful, just as we ordered it and the flavors were amazing. She delivered the cake right on time and set up the cake table to look gorgeous. Her prices were very reasonable for the quality of cakes that she delivers.
At our consultation we designed a cake with a cream colored 3D XBOX with a black doctor's box sitting on top of the XBOX, slightly open with a stethoscope and a reflex hammer hanging out as well as several other suggestions that Belinda made to really make it a piece of art. This is what arrived at the reception. $278 for the ugliest sheet cake I have ever seen. When I called her she offerered me a measly $50 back. She can keep it, our son is the first of about 50 youth I know to get married, I will make it my point to warn fellow families that what you see online isn't what you get. Disappointing!
We had a 50-serving completely custom tiered fondant graduation cake from her last week that came in just under $200.00. It was moist and delicious, and she had obviously taken her time with the edible accents. It's true that you may have to play a little phone tag with her, but if you want a cake that delicious and beautiful, it's worth the follow up phone calls!
